How it works
Section titled “How it works”- A translation is one string translated into one language. Setting up a CLI with 500 strings in 7 languages uses 3,500 translations. After that, only new or changed strings count, which is usually a small fraction of the allowance. Translations are remembered within a repository, so the same string is never paid for twice there.
- If a month’s allowance runs out, Localizer translates what fits, finishing languages one at a time, and continues after the allowance renews on the 1st of the next month. Unused translations don’t roll over.
- One subscription covers every public repository of one GitHub account, personal or organization. Localizer serves public (open-source) repositories only.
- Plans by account: Solo is for personal GitHub accounts only. Team is for personal accounts and for organizations with fewer than 100 employees; larger organizations need Enterprise or Custom. See the Terms of Service.
- Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax or VAT is added where it applies. Polar sends your receipts and a link to its customer portal, where you can change or cancel your plan at any time. A canceled plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- Enterprise includes a 99.9% monthly uptime commitment with service credits (see the SLA), support with a first response within one business day, and help with your security review.
- A data processing agreement, with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, is available to any paid plan on request.
